The 850 represents the petty-bourgeois dream of the popular automobile in the 1960s; created to offer a richer alternative to the 600 during the economic boom, it actually had to face the difficult economic period. An honest and sober sedan, it was much more successful with its sporty versions – Coupé and Spider – and was also made as a small family MPV.

This book tells its entire story, from its birth to its subsequent evolutions, accompanying it with numerous period images and accurate technical data sheets of each of the versions.
