A car that is difficult to contextualise, born almost by chance and immediately becoming famous, the 8V is one of the forbidden dreams of the post-war period. Beautiful and mechanically refined, it did not, however, have real commercial or sporting success. Nonetheless, it is one of the most famous and admired Fiats of all time, thanks also to the interpretations of the coachbuilders.

This book tells its entire story, from its birth to its subsequent evolutions, accompanying it with numerous period images and accurate technical data sheets of each of the versions.
