The 1400 was Fiat's first major new project after the war. Innovative car, with the load-bearing body, the three-volume "ponton" bodywork and also the Diesel engine, it represented the transition to the modern way of building cars.

Alongside the 1900 and the exclusive Cabriolet and Granluce versions, it was the top-class Fiat model throughout the 1950s.

This book tells the whole story, from birth to subsequent evolutions, accompanying it with numerous vintage images and accurate technical data sheets of each of the versions.
