With the Ritmo, Fiat has tried to turn the page and keep only the positive legacy of the 1970s: rational, ergonomic, aerodynamic, innovative and built around man, it represents the automotive utopia of a future that never existed. In the 1980s it was able to reinvent itself and become a comfortable and long-lasting medium sedan. Its sports versions, the famous Ritmo Abarth bi-cam, were for a long time the European benchmark in terms of high-performance compact cars.

This book tells the whole story, from birth to subsequent evolutions, accompanying it with numerous vintage images and accurate technical data sheets of each of the versions.
