The Fiat Abarth 031 is a model developed following the abandonment of the X1/9 project by Fiat. The project was a racing model based on the Fiat 131 with a bodywork with vertical air intakes in the manner of F1 cars. In 1975, the first prototype was presented and named Fiat Abarth 031. The model takes the general lines of the Fiat 131 body and that's all. A replacement for the Fiat 124 Abarth Rally had to be found and it was a success proven by the victory of the Tour of Italy by the Fiat Abarth 031.
